How to Add C&P Gemstone in GemCloud?
Adding a C&P Gemstone to your GemCloud inventory allows you to effectively manage your gemstones, ensuring they are properly categorized, priced, and easy to track. Follow the steps below to add a gemstone successfully.
Step 1: Navigate to My Inventory
- On the left-side menu, click on Inventory Catalog.
- From the dropdown, click on My Inventory.
You will be directed to the My Inventory page where C&P Gemstones, C&P Diamonds, and Rough & Specimen items are listed.
Step 2: Create a New Product
- In the top right corner, click on the Create Product button.
- From the category dropdown, select C&P Gemstone.
A Quick View page will appear for you to start entering the product details.
Step 3: Add Stone Details
- In the Quick View section, fill in all the necessary stone details, such as weight, dimensions, and other product-specific attributes.
- Under the Pricing Section, add all relevant pricing information (e.g., base price, retail price).
- Optionally, check the product’s history in the History section to view any related updates.
If you need to add more detailed information about the product, click the Maximize icon on the top-right corner of the quick view page to expand the form.
Step 4: Select a Sub-Category
Choose a sub-category from the dropdown menu to better define the product. Options include:

- Add the desired attributes for the stone to provide detailed product information.
If you cannot find a specific variety in the dropdown list, you can add a custom variety.Click on the variety name field.At the bottom of the dropdown, select Add New to create a new variety that may not be available in the software.
Step 6: Add Custom Columns (Optional)
- Go to the Configuration menu.
- Click on Customize ERP from the dropdown options.
- Select Fields & Columns to manage existing fields.
- Choose Custom Fields to create new fields tailored to your specific needs.
Step 7: Set Pricing and Locations
Navigate to the rightmost section of the form to add the following:
- Product Pricing: Set base prices and custom pricing fields.
- Product Location: Define where the product is stored within your inventory.
Step 8: Save the Product
- Navigate to the top-right corner of the page and click on Save or Save and Add New to add the next item.
- Once you click Save, your C&P Gemstone product will be successfully added to your inventory.
