How to Establish SKU Prefix in GemCloud?
Establishing SKU prefixes in GemCloud helps in categorizing and identifying inventory items more effectively. This guide will walk you through the steps to set up and manage SKU prefixes.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Access Configuration Settings
Log in to GemCloud: Open your web browser and log in to your GemCloud account using your credentials.
Click on the Configuration Button: Locate the Configuration button on the top right corner of the dashboard and click on it.
Step 2: Navigate to SKU Prefix Settings
- Go to the Customize ERP Section:
- In the left menu, navigate to the Customize ERP section.
- Click on Additional Settings.
- From the dropdown menu, click on SKU Prefix.
Step 3: Set Up SKU Prefix
Access the SKU Prefix Overview Page: You will be directed to the SKU Prefix overview page. This section allows you to establish your own SKU prefix.
Add a New Prefix:
- Click on Add New to create a new SKU prefix.
- Enter the desired Prefix in the provided field.
- Click on Save to store the new prefix.
Default Prefix:
- To set a default prefix, turn on the toggle button for Choose Default Prefix.
- This will automatically apply the selected prefix as the default for new items.
Step 4: Manage Prefixes
- Edit or Delete Prefix:
- To edit an existing prefix, click on the Action button behind to the prefix and select Edit. Make the necessary changes and click Save.
- To delete a prefix, click on the Action button behind to the prefix and select Delete.
By following these steps, you can efficiently establish and manage SKU prefixes in GemCloud, enhancing your inventory organization and tracking.
